Part-Time Hematology/Oncology Opportunity in WA – No Call

Job description

Opportunity Highlights:
• Part-time schedule (2–3 days/week) with no call requirements

Opportunity Details: Hematology/Oncology
Location: Port Townsend, WA
Start Date: May 2026
Contract Length: Through August 2026

Schedule:
• 2–3 days per week
• 7:45am–4:45pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
• 8 hours of patient-facing time

Work Details:
• Outpatient clinic only – no inpatient rounding
• 13–16 patients per day (30-min follow-ups, 60-min new consults)
• Case mix: ~70% Oncology / 30% Hematology
• Benign hematology required; malignant hematology optional (coordination with specialists)
• All chemotherapy outpatient
• EMR: Epic (Dragon dictation)
• Team huddles daily + tumor boards twice monthly

Practice Setting & Support:
• Community cancer center (CoC accredited) with plans to expand
• Onsite infusion center (12 chairs, 2 beds; chemo weekdays, supportive care weekends)
• Dedicated MA/LPN + nurse coordinator support
• Multidisciplinary team including social work, dietitians, palliative care, and research staff
• Onsite pharmacy team and emergency response support via adjacent ED

Requirements:
• Board Certified Hematology/Oncology
• WA license required (or ability to obtain)
• Comfortable managing benign hematology cases
