Assignment Overview

Specialty: Hematology/Oncology

Start Date: March 2026 / ASAP

Contract Length: 1 year

Coverage Type: Scheduled clinic coverage with inpatient call

Reason for Need: Ongoing coverage need

Facility Type: Hospital-based Cancer Center

Schedule

Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Call: Inpatient call every 3rd week (1:3 rotation)

Coverage Expectation: Full-time; must be able to provide at least 3 weeks per month

Clinical Details

Patient Volume: Approximately 15 patients per day

Patient Population: Adults (18+)

Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies

EMR: Cerner

Support Staff

Nursing staff

Certified Medical Assistants

Advanced Practice Providers

Requirements

Board Certification: Required

Fellowship: Oncology Fellowship required

Licensure: Active state license required (temporary license available)

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years

Background: Must have a completely clean background (no exceptions)

Credentialing

Timeframe: 45–60 days

Licensing: Facility willing to assist with temporary licensure for qualified providers
