This healthcare facility is part of a comprehensive regional medical system that provides specialized oncology and hematology services to the community. The facility features a well-established oncology program with radiation oncology services on-site and strong support staff including RNs, medical assistants, navigators, and infusion nurses.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:
• Full-time hematology/oncology coverage with no medical oncology component required
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Work alongside 3 physicians and 3 advanced practice providers
• Comprehensive support team including RN/MA staff, patient navigators, and infusion nurses
• Perform bone marrow biopsies as required
• 1:4 weekly hospital call rotation from Friday 7:30 AM to Friday 7:30 AM
• Daily hospital rounding for 1-2 hours Monday through Sunday
• Weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
• Manage acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients
• Handle phone calls during call periods with minimal call-in requirements
• Share clinic weekday call for add-on consults and chemotherapy patient supervision
• Supervise personal chemotherapy clinic patients
• Must utilize real-time mobile time clock system with GPS capability
• Board certification required with ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
• Handle approximately 15 patient encounters per shift

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
