Facility:
This well-established regional medical center provides comprehensive hematology and oncology services to the surrounding community. The facility features a collaborative team of 3 MDs and 3 APPs, supported by RN/MAs, navigators, and infusion RNs, along with on-site radiation oncology services.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology

Job Details:

• Full-time locum Hematology/Oncology coverage starting ASAP; must be trained in Hematology/Oncology (not Med Onc only)
• Coverage of 2-3 weeks per month considered; pairing of two locums may be an option
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with one hour lunch; overtime applies after 9-hour day
• Bone marrow biopsies are required
• 1:4 weekly hospital call rotation; Friday 7:30 AM to following Friday 7:30 AM
• Daily rounding required Monday through Sunday, 1-2 hours each morning; additional weekday afternoon rounding from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
• Coverage of acute leukemic patients and inpatient chemotherapy patients during call; phone calls required, rarely called in
• Clinic weekday call shared among providers for add-on consults and supervision of chemo patients
• Each provider supervises their own patients in the Chemo Clinic
• Documentation required for post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T Cell Therapy patients
• Provider must utilize "real time" Mobile Time Clock, preferably GPS-enabled
• Up to 15 patient encounters per shift
• Board certification required; ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
• Nearest airport: CWA (Central Wisconsin Airport)
