About the Opportunity
Brattleboro Memorial Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Medical Oncologist for a part-time permanent opportunity in Brattleboro, Vermont. Position Highlights

Schedule & Coverage
- Schedule: 2 clinic days per week, approximately 24 hours/week
- Shift Type: Days
- Weekend Requirements: Rotating weekends
- Call Requirements: Rotating call schedule
- Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and stage various cancers using clinical assessments, imaging, and laboratory findings
- Develop individualized treatment plans including chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
- Monitor treatment response and modify care plans as needed
- Manage treatment-related side effects and provide supportive care
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and outcomes
- Provide emotional support and counseling throughout the care journey
- Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, oncology nurses, nurse practitioners, and oncology navigators
- Participate in clinical trials, research initiatives, and quality improvement projects
- Stay current on evidence-based oncology guidelines and treatment advancements
- Mentor and support other healthcare staff on oncology-related practices
- Contribute to departmental planning and patient care improvement efforts
Qualifications & Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology – required
- Clean malpractice history – required
- Most recent NPDB Self-Query Report within 30 days – required at presentation
- Active Vermont License or ability to obtain before start – required
- Strong clinical judgment and patient-centered oncology care skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
