Hem/Onc - Bristol, VA - 6 Month Contract

Job description

Coverage Details:
• Coverage needed per month (24hr / hourly shifts / shifts + call, etc): Monday-Thursday 8-4:30 in clinic with Friday clinic every 3rd week. Call Monday-Sunday every 3rd week.
• Frequency of any Call needed: Every 3 weeks
• Schedule Details: (start / end times, days of the week, etc) 8-4:30 Monday-Thursday weekly with additional Friday Clinic every 3 weeks.

Work Details:
• Support staff: 3 NP's at Abingdon Location and a dedicated RN, 1 NP and a dedicated RN at Marion location. Nurse navigators/Palliative care and dietician are at both locations.
• Department Description: Hematology/Oncology Hospital Outpatient department
• Patient Volume: 12-15 patients per day
• Patient Age Group: 18+
• EMR/Documentation System: EPIC Beacon
• Special Procedures/Unit Details: Clinic is attached to a 21 chair infusion room and in the same center as radiation oncology at one location. Center has a 5 chair infusion center at the other location.

Requirements:
• Are Board Certifications Req’d?: Yes or at least pending exam for board certification.
• Which State License(s) Req’d?: Virginia
• Certifications Req’d? (BLS / ACLS / etc): BLS
• DEA Req’d?: Yes
• Minimum Experience Req’d (# of years): 1 year plus
• Are vaccines mandatory?: Flu
• Any additional requirements/details to screen for?: CLEAN BACKGROUNDS ONLY, no pending/settled MP cases
Credentialing/Privileging Timeframe: ~60-90 days (Varies, but can have temp privileges quickly, VA license and DEA can hold up the process as can credentialing with insurance for Professional charges)
