Job Description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist for a full-time locum tenens assignment in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This opportunity focuses on hematology only and does not include medical oncology responsibilities.

The provider will deliver comprehensive inpatient and outpatient hematology services, perform bone marrow biopsies, supervise hematology patients receiving chemotherapy, and participate in a shared call rotation. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking a long-term assignment in a well-supported multidisciplinary practice.

Job Responsibilities
Evaluate and manage adult hematology patients in both clinic and hospital settings
Perform bone marrow biopsies
Provide inpatient consultations and follow-up care
Supervise hematology patients receiving chemotherapy
Manage post-Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and post-CAR-T Cell Therapy patient documentation
Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning
Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, navigators, infusion staff, and support personnel
Complete accurate documentation using Cerner EMR
Participate in shared hospital and clinic call coverage
Round on hospitalized patients as scheduled

Working Hours
Regular Schedule
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
One-hour lunch break
Overtime applicable after a 9-hour workday

Call Schedule
Shared 1:4 hospital call rotation
Weekly call from Friday 7:30 AM to the following Friday 7:30 AM
Daily inpatient rounding (approximately 1–2 hours)
Additional weekday afternoon rounds from approximately 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Phone call coverage with infrequent call-ins

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology
Active Wisconsin medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration
Experience managing adult hematology patients
Bone marrow biopsy experience required
Experience caring for post-transplant and CAR-T therapy patients preferred
Comfortable providing inpatient and outpatient hematology care
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
