National Locum Tenens Week
In the first ever National Locum Tenens Week, we want to thank you for the work you have done and continue to do for patients through your work as a locum tenens physician or advanced practitioner. While working locum tenens, you have the ability to spread your compassion and skill across facilities small and large throughout the country. Make sure to celebrate all week and know how appreciated you are. Don’t forget to tag us on social media and use the hashtag #LocumTenensWeek to tell us what you love most about your job!

This week is officially brought to you by NALTO. Find out what it means to be a NALTO member.

Will Alexa Be Joining You in the Hospital?

Some health systems are developing software which could allow its patients to manage their personal care assistants using Alexa. Chief of Innovation at Winter Street Ventures, John Loughnane, says “Especially for our patients with behavioral and physical barriers, we thought this could create a better care model. It will directly impact care, making it more effective and more efficient.” The software is being developed by Commonwealth Care Alliance and Orbita, but the current issue they are attempting to solve is how to comply with HIPAA.
