What’s in Store for Hospitalists This Year and in the Future?
Quality will be one of the most important areas of focus this year for healthcare providers, especially hospitalists. This is the last year to report on quality measures for PQRS, but after this year, reporting quality measures becomes part of the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) for physicians. MIPS will measure costs, meaningful use and clinical performance improvement activities to score the quality of a physician’s work, which affects reimbursement payments in 2019 and later. This could present some challenges to hospitalists as they do not have many reportable measurements.

Do You Think Obamacare Will Be Repealed in 2016?
