Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency

Job Details:

  • Seeking a nights Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a close-knit, collaborative inpatient medicine team
  • Full-time nights schedule, Monday through Sunday, with premium differentials and incentives offered
  • No call required
  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients under established guidelines and in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of patient health needs including referrals to specialists and other health team members
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within scope of practice and refer appropriately when needed
  • Practice in a smaller community-focused setting with wide clinical scope, autonomy, and room for professional growth
  • Open to both Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners with Acute Care certification
  • Minimum 1+ year of Advanced Practice experience in a hospitalist or similar setting required
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
  • Must be certified or board-eligible as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care-certified Nurse Practitioner
