Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency
Job Details:
- Open to Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners to join a large, vibrant, and growing hospitalist team
- Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
- Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
- Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs in consultation with physicians and care team members, including referrals to specialists
- Identify problems outside of scope of practice and refer appropriately to physician
- Setting: Inpatient medicine, hospitalist
- Schedule: Full-time days with premium differentials offered
- No call required
- Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
- Utilize state-of-the-art EPIC technology to promote improved patient outcomes and streamlined continuity of care
- Comprehensive orientation provided for both new and experienced providers
- Established mentorship and orientation programs specially designed for newly hired providers and providers new to practice
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
- Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required
