Opportunity:
Advanced Practitioners - Hospitalist/Emergency

Job Details:

  • Open to Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in hospitalist medicine
  • Provide full-spectrum inpatient care including triaging, admitting, rounding, discharging, and addressing changes in clinical status
  • The APP Clinical Lead will collaborate closely with the APP Manager in day-to-day management of the team, including ensuring adequate staffing and promoting efficient team functioning
  • Experience in Quality and Safety leadership is recommended, though not required
  • Dedicated administrative time provided, approximately a minimum of 4 hours per week (10% administrative, 90% clinical)
  • Full-time days with a flexible schedule and premium differentials offered
  • No call schedule required
  • Inpatient medicine/hospitalist setting located at 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, CT
  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients under established guidelines
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs including referrals to specialists and other health team members
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice and refer appropriately when outside scope
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License required (or eligible)
  • Must be a certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
  • Comprehensive orientation provided by experienced Physician and Advanced Practice Hospitalists
  • Access to state-of-the-art EPIC clinical and informatics technology
  • Dedicated support through the Office of Advanced Practice for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants
