Hospitalist NP/PA Needed in Rochester, NH

Job description

Hospitalist NP/PA Needed in Rochester, NH:
Start Date: June 2026
Contract Length: 3 months ongoing
Schedule: 8-10 shifts a month nights
Open ICU with 5 beds. No procedures (EM docs help with procedures, tele-ICU manages drips/vents). Supervising doc available for discussions of cases by phone.
Multiple providers per shift
Shared patient load rather than single-coverage responsibility
Implications for locums:
You’re rarely functioning in isolation
Expect:
APPs handling lower-acuity cases
Physician colleagues overlapping shifts
ED length-of-stay metrics are slightly better than state averages
Hospital is part of a community-focused, efficiency-oriented system
Typical shift feel:
Continuous patient turnover
Moderate pressure for:
Dispo decisions
Admission vs discharge efficiency
Less boarding and gridlock than large metro hospitals (but still present at times)

Credentialing Timeframe: ASAP
Active NH License
