Locum Hospitalist MD Opportunity – Southern California

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Hospitalist MD for night shift locums coverage across two respected Southern California hospital campuses. This is an excellent short-term opportunity for physicians comfortable in high-acuity inpatient environments and procedural care.

Coverage Needed: Specific night shifts only
Shift Length: 12-hour shifts

🏥 Facility Highlights
Facility 1:
Currently 80 staffed beds
Expanding to: 122 beds by May 1, 144 beds by June 1
Approximately 60% admit rate
No observation unit
Closed ICU
Facility 2:
80 beds
Providers respond to Code Blue events overnight
💻 EMR
Epic

🩺 Required Procedures & Skills
Candidates must be comfortable with: Central lines, Arterial lines, Vent management, High-acuity inpatient care

✅ Requirements
Board Certified MD
Active California license required
AHA ACLS certification required
Must have recent high-acuity hospitalist experience
Must be comfortable with nighttime procedural coverage

⚡ Credentialing
Approximately 30 days
Temporary privileges available
Providers must credential at both facilities
