This community hospital offers a comprehensive range of inpatient services, supported by robust ancillary departments available 24 hours a day, including anesthesia, general surgery, cardiothoracic surgery, neuro-surgery, orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, radiology, laboratory, catheterization lab, and OR response. The facility provides a collaborative and well-supported environment for hospitalist providers caring for adult inpatient populations.

Physician - Hospitalist

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens Hospitalist opportunity in Petaluma, CA with day and night shift availability
• Shift times are 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with 12 guaranteed hours per day
• Night shift differential of $25.00/hr added to any night shifts scheduled and worked
• 12-16 patient encounters per shift in an inpatient hospital setting
• Adult inpatient care required; ICU experience preferred
• Non-invasive ventilation management required; ventilation management (acute and chronic) preferred
• Intubation experience preferred
• Active California medical license required; licensure in CA only accepted
• DEA required; board certified or board eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• BLS certification required
• Clean file required — physicians with large settlements, DUIs/drug issues, restrictions, terminations, or Medical Board actions are not eligible
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 30-60 days
• Call type is N/A; no call responsibilities
• Overtime must be pre-approved by the medical director by end of shift via text or email
• Travel reimbursement includes airport parking, pre-approved rental car insurance, and ride share to/from destination airport and lodging or hospital
• Mileage and ride share from provider's home to departing airport are not reimbursed
