Job Description:
-The OB/GYN Nocturnist at UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital will:
-Provide comprehensive inpatient obstetric care overnight, including labor management, deliveries, postpartum care, and triage.
-Manage gynecologic consults for acute issues during nocturnist shifts.
-Perform urgent assessments and interventions for obstetric and gynecologic patients overnight.
-Collaborate closely with a supportive, collegial team of 8 OB/GYN physicians and 4 advanced practice providers (APPs).
-Provide backup coverage and support for complex cases with multispecialty teams onsite.
-Communicate effectively with day teams to ensure smooth handoffs and continuity of care.
-Work within a fully integrated Epic EMR environment, documenting all patient interactions, procedures, and consults.
-Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety protocols in the OB unit.
-Support a flexible schedule of 6–12 nocturnist shifts per month to maintain sustainable work-life balance.
-Actively contribute to a culture of high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with UCHealth’s mission to improve lives.
-Handle emergency obstetric situations, including rapid response for maternal or fetal complications.
-Support the training and mentoring of residents or APPs if applicable during nocturnist shifts.
-Participate in hospital committee work or overnight process improvements as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:
-Annual salary range: $291,000 – $324,000 (full-time)

-Board Certified in OB/GYN – [REQUIRED] * no exceptions
-CO license (or willing to obtain) – [REQUIRED]
-Clean malpractice - [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
-Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active) – [REQUIRED]* no exemption, required at presentation
-DEA (must be obtained prior to start)

  • Shifts may include weekends (flexible schedule, 6–12 shifts/month)
