Opportunity Details

Start Date: September 1

Practice Details:
• Acute Care Hospital
• Level III Trauma Center
• 136-bed hospital (expandable to 184 beds)
• 20-bed Closed ICU
• EMR: Oracle (formerly Cerner)

Clinical Responsibilities:
• Day shift: Rounding and admissions
• Night shift: Admissions and cross coverage
• Supervision of Advanced Practice Providers
• No procedures required (may perform if desired)
• ICU managed entirely by Board-Certified Intensivists

Patient Volume:
• Average Daily Census: 41.3
• Approximately 8.8 admissions per day
• Approximately 48 encounters per day
• Average Length of Stay: 4.6 days

Support Staff:
• 9 Hospitalist Clinicians
• Advanced Practice Providers assisting with rounding and admissions
• Dedicated ICU Intensivist team providing all ICU care and procedures

Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active Washington, DC Medical License Required
• Active DEA Required
• Active DC CSR Required

Credentialing:
• 30–60 days
• Temporary privileges available on a case-by-case basis (issued the first Friday of each month)
