Locum Tenens Hospitalist near St. Louis border

Job description

A hospital in Alton IL is in need of coverage ASAP Ongoing.

• *Board Certified IM or FP, FP will need years of experience
• *BC in Internal medicine, BC PREFERRED but will take BE if clean back ground with 5 years
• *7on7off preferred
• *Need is for day shift
• *Start date is Sept. possibility of August with the right candidate
• *220 Hospital Beds - Hospitalist department is responsible for 15-17 beds/day, do not cover maternity or PEDS beds, typically see about 3-4 New patients
• *6-12 Admission/day
• *Procedures: Insulin Drips and Bipap
• *Physician shift times: 3 Hospitalist during day and 1 Nocturnist during the night (7a-7p, 7p-7a)
• *NP covering during day shift as well
• *Call: Take call roughly every third shift (with be in rotation with other docs), does not have to be present to admit, will carry a pager
• *No Codes
• *Full Back-up specialties
• *Drive in candidates highly preferred, open to considering flights
