This facility is a community-based hospital providing essential inpatient medical services to the surrounding region. The hospital operates with Epic EMR and supports a collaborative care environment, including medical unit coverage and ICU capabilities, with strong nursing home coordination and travel reimbursement support for visiting providers.

Physician - Hospitalist

Job Details:

• Seeking coverage beginning August 6 at 0800 through August 10 at 0800
• Onsite hours 0800-1800 with call coverage when not onsite (Beeper/Phone Call)
• Call ratio of 3-6 patients
• Inpatient/hospital-based practice setting with nursing home call responsibilities
• Patient population is 100% adult, with 50% geriatric
• Average of 14 patients per day
• Hospital medical unit coverage including 1 ICU bed
• Trauma Level 4 designation
• EMR/Documentation: Epic
• Board Certification or Board Eligible in Family Practice or Internal Medicine required
• Active Kentucky license required
• ACLS and BLS required
• DEA required
• Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required
• Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of presentation date
• Credentialing can be processed on an emergent basis
• Approved travel reimbursements include lodging, airfare, rental car, and mileage at IRS rate
