The facility features a 10-bed labor and delivery unit with Level III nursery capabilities and serves as a teaching hospital with resident support, ensuring excellent patient care and collaborative learning environment.
Opportunity:
Physician - Hospitalist - OB
Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive OB hospitalist coverage for labor and delivery unit
• Coverage needed due to 2 FTE departures and pending maternity leave
• Specific dates: 7/26 (24 hours), 7/31 (24 hours), 8/2 (24 hours), 8/7 (9 hours), 8/9 (24 hours)
• Manage patient mix of 20% low risk pregnancy, 80% high risk pregnancy, and 10% gynecology cases
• Handle approximately 25% cesarean section rate with Level III nursery support
• Work collaboratively with OB residents who provide first assist capabilities
• Provide collaboration support to midwives on labor and delivery
• Perform comprehensive obstetrics procedures including low and high risk pregnancies
• Conduct FHR interpretation including NST/CST/FSE
• Perform OB ultrasounds with Level I and II capabilities
• Handle routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, low forceps, and cesarean sections
• Manage complex cases including breech presentations, multiple births, abruptions, and VBACs
• Repair 3rd and 4th degree lacerations
• Provide gynecological services including operative/major procedures, laparoscopic procedures, and office-based minor procedures
• Utilize EPIC documentation system
• Must maintain active Ohio medical license with BLS/ACLS certification
• Board certification required
• In-house call coverage with weekend responsibilities
• Full support staff including residents and nursing team available
Compensation:
