The facility features a Level III nursery with onsite lab and ultrasound capabilities, supported by experienced RNs and CNMs using Epic documentation systems for optimal patient care coordination.

Physician - Hospitalist - OB

Job Details:
• Provide laborist coverage in the Labor & Delivery unit at St. Joseph Warren Hospital
• Work 7a-7p physician shifts with call coverage for midwives from 7p-7a
• Support existing team of 1 full-time laborist physician and 1 full-time laborist midwife
• Handle low and high risk pregnancies including patients with toxemia, diabetes, and other complications
• Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal delivery, low forceps, and decision-making for C-sections
• Manage complex cases including C-sections, breech presentations, multiple births, and abruptions
• Conduct VBACs and repair 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
• Provide emergency gynecological coverage for unassigned cases
• Perform laparoscopic diagnostic procedures and minor surgical gynecology
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
• Requires active Ohio medical license (willing to accept those obtaining licensure)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Self-Query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 120 days
• Facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage
