California Wound Care / Hyperbaric Locums - Weekdays, No Call

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a physician for ongoing PRN Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine coverage in California.

This is a weekday assignment with a Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. schedule and no call. The average daily census is approximately 8 patients.

The clinical scope includes diabetic wounds, radiation tissue injury and soft-tissue radionecrosis, osteomyelitis, complex wound management and debridement. On the hyperbaric side, the physician will be involved with treatment planning, obtaining approval for dives and managing complications. Hyperbaric technicians are on staff to manage the chambers.

Physicians from multiple primary specialty backgrounds may be considered as long as they have appropriate Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy or Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine training.

Requirements include:
- Active California medical license
- Appropriate HBOT/UHM training
- Wound Care experience including debridement
- ACLS and BLS
- DEA
- Meditech experience

December coverage is anticipated with ongoing PRN needs thereafter.

• Multiple primary specialties considered with appropriate HBOT training
