Position Summary
We are seeking compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurses to join our Acute Care team in Sierra Vista, AZ. This role is designed for nursing professionals who thrive in high-energy inpatient environments and are dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centered care. As an Acute Care RN, you will manage a diverse adult patient population, ranging from general medical-surgical recovery to continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Excellence: Provide direct nursing care to adult patients. Perform head-to-toe assessments, recognize subtle clinical changes, and implement individualized care plans.
Telemetry Oversight: Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms. Promptly identify and report arrhythmias or lethal changes (V-fib, V-tach, Heart Blocks) to the medical team.
Medication Safety: Administer medications, IV therapy, and specialized treatments following strict safety protocols and hospital policy.
Multidisciplinary Lead: Coordinate care with physicians, case management, PT/OT, and pharmacy to ensure a holistic approach to patient recovery.
Documentation: Maintain real-time, accurate documentation in the EMR regarding patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
Education & Discharge: Educate patients and families on disease management and medications. Lead discharge planning to ensure a safe transition home.
Safety & Quality: Adhere to infection control (CAUTI/CLABSI prevention) and fall safety protocols. Participate in unit-based performance improvement initiatives.

Must-Have Requirements
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
Licensure: Active, unencumbered Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License (or Compact equivalent).
Experience: 1–2 years of recent RN experience in an acute care setting.
Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) through the AHA.

Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, or Progressive Care (PCU).
ACLS Certification (highly preferred due to telemetry requirements).
Advanced telemetry rhythm interpretation skills.
Ability to prioritize care in high-census/high-acuity environments.
Core Competencies
Clinical Judgment: Ability to identify and escalate care for deteriorating patients.
Technical Skill: Proficiency with IV pumps, telemetry equipment, and EMR systems.
Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for effective shift handoffs (SBAR) and family updates.
Time Management: Capable of managing a standard acute care patient ratio while maintaining high standards of safety.
