Infectious Disease APP – Greensboro, NC

Position Overview

* Start Date: December 14, 2026

* Contract Length: 52 weeks (1 year)

* Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 8-hour shifts; Friday, half day

* Coverage: 5 days per week

* Setting: Outpatient

* Department: Infectious Disease

* Patient Population: Adults

* Patient Volume: TBD

* Support Staff: TBD

* EMR: Epic

* Credentialing: 60–90 days

Responsibilities

* Perform patient assessments, review medical histories, and interpret diagnostic results to develop effective treatment plans.

* Conduct preventive health screenings based on patient age, history, and individual needs.

* Educate patients and families on infectious disease conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care.

* Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient documentation.

* Perform office-based specialty procedures within departmental guidelines and scope of practice.

* Identify opportunities to improve outpatient care through clinical problem-solving and process evaluation.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

* Provider Type: NP or PA

* Master’s degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies

* Minimum 3 years of experience

* Board certification required

* Active North Carolina license required

* DEA required

* BLS/CPR through AHA or American Red Cross required

NP Requirements

* Valid NC RN and NP license

* National certification through an accepted organization, including ANCC, NCC, AMCB, AANP, or PNCB, as applicable.

PA Requirements

* Valid NC PA license

* NCCPA board certification within one year of hire.

Additional Certification

- NRP required for Neonatal Advanced Practice, if applicable.
