Job description

• DISCIPLINE: Physician (MD).
• SPECIALTY: Infectious Diseases.
• PATIENT AGE GROUP: Adults.
• SPECIAL PROCEDURES/DETAILS: HIV Diagnosis & Management – Conduct HIV testing, confirm diagnoses, and initiate appropriate treatment.
Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) Management – Prescribe and monitor ART to ensure adherence and prevent resistance.
Opportunistic Infection Prevention & Treatment – Screen for and treat infections like tuberculosis, candidiasis, and cytomegalovirus.
Management of Comorbidities – Address conditions such as hepatitis B/C, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and mental health issues.
PrEP & PEP – Prescribe and educate patients on pre-exposure (PrEP) and post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP).
• CERTIFICATIONS: BLS.
• BOARD CERT REQ’D/PREFERRED: NOT required, but preferred. Will accept BE.
• STATE LICENSE REQ’D/IMLC: Yes, CA required (in-hand).
