California Infectious Disease Locums - Academic Hospital Coverage

Job description

I am recruiting an Infectious Disease physician for an ongoing California locum assignment in an academic hospital setting. This is pure Adult Infectious Disease with scheduled inpatient rounding and no call.

Weekday coverage is at one hospital location with an average census around 15 and approximately 1 - 3 new consults per day. Weekend coverage includes two hospital locations, generally with 4 - 6 follow-ups at each location and approximately 3 - 6 new consults combined across both. Epic is the EMR.

Current coverage blocks include December 14 - 18, December 21 - 25, January 9 - 10, January 25 - February 5, February 8 - 12, February 13 - 14, March 13 - 14 and April 10 - 11. The physician must be able to cover at least three of the listed blocks.

An active California license is required. The client strongly prefers Board Certified Infectious Disease physicians but will consider Board Eligible candidates. They are seeking someone with at least 4 - 5 years of Infectious Disease experience.
