Position Overview

An opportunity is available for a Family Medicine Physician to provide outpatient care in beautiful Ketchikan, Alaska. This full-time locum tenens assignment offers a consistent weekday schedule, no call requirements, and the opportunity to care for patients of all ages.

The physician will work independently in an outpatient setting, seeing approximately 16–18 patients per day.

Schedule and Practice Details
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Full-time assignment
Outpatient practice
Approximately 16–18 patients per day
No call requirements
Expected start date: ASAP, ideally November 23, 2026
Current assignment end date: May 6, 2027
Qualifications
MD with a specialty in Family Medicine
Approximately 3.5–5 years of clinical experience preferred
BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records
Case logs demonstrating involvement as an admitting physician for at least 20 patients within the past 24 months
Active state license highly preferred
Preferred Procedural Experience

Experience with the following procedures is a plus but is not required:

Skin excisions and punch biopsies
Nexplanon and IUD procedures
Cryotherapy
Toenail avulsions
