Hospitalist, Part-Time AI Documentation Review - Remote (United States)

Job description

Hospitalist, Part-Time AI Documentation Review - Remote (United States)

• $100–$115 per hour
• 100% remote
• Part-time
• Fully flexible schedule

Work on the cutting edge of medical AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the clinical judgment you already have.

The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real medical professionals. The teams building them need experienced hospitalists who can read an inpatient chart, decide whether it truly reflects what happened to the patient, and explain clearly where the documentation falls short. Your clinical judgment becomes part of how the next generation of medical AI models works. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.

What you'll do
• Read admission H&Ps, daily progress notes and discharge summaries and judge whether each one is clinically accurate and complete
• Resolve ambiguous or conflicting chart details and record a clear, reasoned decision for each case
• Find clinically significant errors and omissions, grade each one by severity, and apply structured review rubrics the same way across cases
• Write short reasoning for every decision and give practical feedback that sharpens the review guidelines and quality standards

Why this is worth your time
• Get paid $100–$115 an hour to build real AI skills, on top of your current job
• Work on AI systems that review inpatient documentation, judging whether chart content holds up against the clinical picture
• Build practical experience applying hospitalist judgment to AI documentation review and clear model feedback
• Fully remote and flexible, no fixed shifts, no commute

Who this is for
• MD or DO with board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Five or more years of attending hospitalist work, or a record of leading documentation audit programs
• Fluent in English, and well versed in inpatient documentation standards and in hospital quality assurance processes
• Able to evaluate clinical documentation, explain subtle clinical reasoning in clear terms, and work on your own as a remote contractor
• Knows how chart documentation shapes coding, billing and compliance
• Helpful: a background in clinical documentation improvement, documentation quality assurance, auditing or wider clinical quality leadership
• No AI experience needed. You bring the hospitalist expertise; the work provides structured review rubrics and quality criteria.

Pay and details
• $100–$115 per hour, paid hourly as an independent contractor
• Fully flexible schedule; fully remote, United States
• Minimum weekly submission requirements apply.
