Job Details:

  • Academic Primary Care Faculty Position within an Internal Medicine Residency Clinic - 1.0 FTE
  • Weekday schedule only with no double-booking of your personal patient panel
  • Morning continuity clinics with your own independent patient panel
  • Precept up to two learners (Internal Medicine residents and/or medical students) per session
  • Afternoon resident clinic focused on dedicated precepting responsibilities
  • 0.5 day of protected administrative time weekly with flexibility based on leadership responsibilities
  • Shared clinic call coverage within a collegial faculty group; phone call only in rotation every 3rd to 4th week
  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive outpatient primary care to a diverse and underserved patient population
  • Teach, supervise, and mentor Internal Medicine residents and medical students in the ambulatory setting
  • Shape resident education through curriculum development, bedside teaching, and longitudinal mentorship
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and academic projects
  • Take on leadership responsibilities within the clinic and residency program aligned with your interests and experience
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to continuously improve patient care and learner experience
  • Board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physician (MD/DO) required
  • Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license required (or eligible)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient clinic setting preferred
  • Proven leadership experience in clinical operations, education, quality improvement, or administration preferred
  • Passionate about academic medicine, team-based care, and caring for underserved populations
