Job Details:
- Academic Primary Care Faculty Position within an Internal Medicine Residency Clinic - 1.0 FTE
- Weekday schedule only with no double-booking of your personal patient panel
- Morning continuity clinics with your own independent patient panel
- Precept up to two learners (Internal Medicine residents and/or medical students) per session
- Afternoon resident clinic focused on dedicated precepting responsibilities
- 0.5 day of protected administrative time weekly with flexibility based on leadership responsibilities
- Shared clinic call coverage within a collegial faculty group; phone call only in rotation every 3rd to 4th week
- Deliver high-quality, comprehensive outpatient primary care to a diverse and underserved patient population
- Teach, supervise, and mentor Internal Medicine residents and medical students in the ambulatory setting
- Shape resident education through curriculum development, bedside teaching, and longitudinal mentorship
- Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives and academic projects
- Take on leadership responsibilities within the clinic and residency program aligned with your interests and experience
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to continuously improve patient care and learner experience
- Board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physician (MD/DO) required
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license required (or eligible)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient clinic setting preferred
- Proven leadership experience in clinical operations, education, quality improvement, or administration preferred
- Passionate about academic medicine, team-based care, and caring for underserved populations
