Job Details:
- Serve as Medical Director of an Academic Outpatient Clinic in a full-time, weekday outpatient setting
- Report to the Chair of Medicine and provide leadership and oversight of an academic ambulatory clinic
- Guide the outpatient ambulatory curriculum and provide faculty oversight for attending physicians
- Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and other learners in a clinically active academic environment
- Coordinate and oversee resident evaluations conducted within the clinic setting
- Maintain and manage PCP assignments within the clinic
- Support scholarly activity and provide exposure to academic medicine for residents and students
- Work collaboratively with an FQHC partner to maximize clinic efficiency and patient care delivery
- Provide phone call back-up coverage as needed
- MD/DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine required
- Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license required (or eligible)
- Minimum of five years of academic experience required
- Must be eligible for faculty appointment at an affiliated medical school
- H1B cap-exempt organization - work authorization support available
