Job Details:

• Serve as Medical Director of an Academic Outpatient Clinic in a full-time, weekday outpatient setting
• Report to the Chair of Medicine and provide leadership and oversight of an academic ambulatory clinic
• Guide the outpatient ambulatory curriculum and provide faculty oversight for attending physicians
• Teach and mentor residents, medical students, and other learners in a clinically active academic environment
• Coordinate and oversee resident evaluations conducted within the clinic setting
• Maintain and manage PCP assignments within the clinic
• Support scholarly activity and provide exposure to academic medicine for residents and students
• Work collaboratively with an FQHC partner to maximize clinic efficiency and patient care delivery
• Provide phone call back-up coverage as needed
• MD/DO with Board Certification in Internal Medicine required
• Unrestricted State of Connecticut medical license required (or eligible)
• Minimum of five years of academic experience required
• Must be eligible for faculty appointment at an affiliated medical school
