Job Details:
- Serve as Program Director for an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency Program, providing strategic vision and educational leadership
- Maintain an active clinical practice based in Bridgeport, Connecticut with weekday schedule
- Dedicated administrative time provided to support educational leadership and program development
- Guide resident education across inpatient, outpatient, community, and rural clinical settings including sites in Bridgeport, Torrington, Winsted, and surrounding communities
- Recruit, mentor, and support residents and faculty to foster a culture of educational excellence and resident well-being
- Drive curriculum innovation, quality improvement initiatives, and scholarly activity
- Support accreditation readiness and continuous program excellence
- Collaborate closely with medical school leadership, residency faculty, and healthcare system executives to advance undergraduate and graduate medical education
- Influence curriculum design, faculty development, and the future of family medicine education across Connecticut
- MD or DO degree required with Board Certification in Family Medicine
- Eligible for unrestricted Connecticut medical licensure required
- 3 to 5+ years of GME leadership experience preferred, including prior Associate Program Director or Program Director experience
- Demonstrated commitment to graduate medical education, teaching, and mentoring residents preferred
- Qualifications consistent with ACGME Program Director requirements
