# Primary Care Physician (MD/DO)
**Full-Time | Onsite**
**Location:** Salem/Mt. Vernon, Illinois
**Practice:** Primary Care of Salem/Mt. Vernon
**Specialty:** Primary Care / Internal Medicine / Family Medicine
**Schedule:** 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
**Compensation:** $200,000–$300,000 annualized contract compensation
Primary Care of Salem/Mt. Vernon is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and patient-focused **Primary Care Physician (MD/DO)** to provide comprehensive outpatient care in our community-based medical practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician interested in delivering high-quality patient care while developing long-term relationships within the Salem/Mt. Vernon community.
### Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
* Perform physical examinations, preventive care, and health screenings.
* Manage conditions including diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory conditions.
* Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
* Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe medications.
* Provide preventive-health and lifestyle counseling.
* Coordinate referrals, specialty care, follow-up, and continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
* Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members.
* Support quality-of-care and patient-access initiatives.
### Qualifications
* MD or DO degree.
* Active Illinois physician license or eligibility to obtain Illinois licensure.
* Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or another appropriate primary-care specialty.
* Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain registration.
* Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to patient-centered care.
* Professional liability coverage as required by the final contractor agreement.

### Compensation & Opportunity
* $200,000–$300,000 annualized contract compensation, based on qualifications, experience, schedule, and final contract terms.
