# Internal Medicine Physician – Full-Time Primary Care

## POSITION OVERVIEW

A full-time Internal Medicine Physician is sought to join a collaborative **outpatient primary care and academic Internal Medicine team**.

The practice provides comprehensive primary care services for adult patients, including diagnosis and management of medical conditions, chronic disease management, and care for patients with multiple medical concerns.

The practice operates **Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM**, with flexibility available to accommodate physician scheduling needs. There are **no weekend or holiday requirements**.

## ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITY

The position offers flexibility for the physician to choose between:

* A **full clinical Primary Care FTE**, or
* A combination of **clinical Primary Care responsibilities and precepting time** with the affiliated Academic Internal Medicine Residency Program.

## CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

* Internal Medicine **Board Certified or truly Board Eligible**
* Candidates who are truly Board Eligible must become **Board Certified within 2 years of becoming eligible**
* Candidates with **lapsed Board Certification who need to regain certification are not accepted**
* Active Michigan medical license or willingness to obtain
* DEA registration or willingness to obtain
* BLS certification or willingness to obtain
* ACLS certification or willingness to obtain
* Clean malpractice history preferred
* H-1B visa candidates considered
* **J-1 waiver candidates are not accepted**
* Locum/locums candidates are not accepted
