Position Overview
Seeking a full-time Internal Medicine Physician to join an innovative Value-Based Care Clinic serving as core faculty for an Internal Medicine Health Equity Track. This position combines outpatient Internal Medicine care with resident teaching, mentorship, and leadership in health equity, population health, and value-based care initiatives.
The physician will work in a collaborative academic environment focused on evidence-based medicine, community-centered care, and improving healthcare outcomes for diverse patient populations.

Teaching & Educational Responsibilities
Resident Education
Serve as core faculty for the Internal Medicine Health Equity Track
Supervise Internal Medicine residents in clinic-based experiential learning
Provide real-time teaching in:
Primary care
Population health
Value-based care
Health equity-focused practice
Curriculum & Mentorship
Teach integration of:
Social determinants of health
Community-engaged care
Equity-centered clinical decision making
Participate in:
Journal clubs
Lecture series
Case conferences
Resident workshops
Mentor residents in:
Quality improvement initiatives
Health equity research
Scholarly projects
Program Development
Collaborate with residency leadership on curriculum development aligned with:
ACGME competencies
Organizational priorities
Provide formative and summative resident feedback
Clinical Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine care
Utilize evidence-based and value-based care principles
Implement population health and care coordination strategies
Address healthcare disparities and social drivers of health
Collaborate with:
Care managers
Pharmacists
Social workers
Behavioral health specialists
Community partners
Quality & Operational Leadership
Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Support operational and clinical process improvements
Utilize outcomes data to improve patient care and educational performance
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care management teams
Requirements
Required
Completion of ACGME or AMA-approved residency
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine
Texas Medical License or willingness to obtain
Interest in academic medicine and resident education
Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary care settings
Professional reference within 24 months
Highly Preferred
Clean malpractice and license history
