Position Summary

An innovative academic health system in the Dallas, TX area is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Internal Medicine Physician to serve as core faculty for their Internal Medicine Health Equity Track. The position combines comprehensive outpatient clinical care in a Value-Based Care Clinic with resident teaching, mentorship, and curriculum development focused on health equity, population health, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching & Clinical Supervision:

Serve as core faculty supervising Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient clinic environment.

Provide real-time clinical teaching in primary care, value-based care, and population health.

Mentor residents in health equity research, scholarly activities, and quality improvement (QI) initiatives.

Lead educational sessions including journal clubs, lectures, case conferences, and workshops.

Partner with program leadership to align curriculum with ACGME competencies and provide formal resident evaluations.

Direct Patient Care:

Deliver evidence-based outpatient Internal Medicine care within a multidisciplinary Value-Based Care Clinic.

Utilize population health tools, risk stratification, and care coordination to address healthcare disparities and social determinants of health.

Collaborate with integrated care managers, clinical pharmacists, social workers, and behavioral health specialists.

Qualifications & Submission Requirements

Education & Training: Completion of an ACGME- or AMA-approved Internal Medicine Residency [Required].

Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine [Required].

Licensure: Active Texas Medical License or willingness to obtain [Required].

Academic Interest: Demonstrated passion for resident education, academic medicine, and multidisciplinary care [Required].

Visa Status: Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (No visa sponsorship available) [Required].

References: At least one professional reference from within the last 24 months [Required].

Preferred Background: Prior experience in medical education, health equity, population health, or value-based care frameworks [Highly Preferred]; clean malpractice/license history [Highly Preferred].
