-Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
-Compensation: $287,000 - $347,000 annually, dependent upon experience

Job Description
Seeking a Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to join a growing outpatient practice serving an underserved adult patient population. This is a unique hybrid primary care role providing comprehensive medical care across multiple patient groups, including patients seen in the Acute Response Care Clinic, post-discharge patients requiring transitional care management, and patients referred from on-site specialty clinics who have primary care needs.

The physician will practice in a collaborative, patient-centered environment within Parkland, a nationally recognized Level I Teaching Hospital. This position is 100% outpatient with no inpatient responsibilities and offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on population health and care continuity for a diverse patient population.

-Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
-Patient Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day
-EMR: Epic
-Call Coverage: Phone/Beeper Call, approximately one week annually



Job Accountabilities

-Provide comprehensive primary care services for adult patients in an outpatient setting.
-Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
-Deliver care to patients transitioning from hospital discharge to outpatient follow-up.
-Provide primary care services to patients referred from specialty clinics.
-Manage patient care plans, preventive health screenings, and chronic disease management.
-Coordinate care with specialists, care managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
-Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant medical documentation within Epic EMR.
-Participate in limited phone/beeper call coverage as assigned.
-Support quality improvement initiatives focused on patient outcomes and access to care.
-Ensure compliance with all organizational, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
-Provide compassionate, culturally competent care to an underserved patient population.

Skills or Special Abilities
-Board Certification in Family Medicine (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM) required.
-Strong outpatient primary care experience with adult patients.
-Ability to manage both acute and chronic medical conditions effectively.
-Experience caring for medically complex and underserved patient populations preferred.
-Excellent clinical judgment and diagnostic skills.
-Strong communication and patient education abilities.
-Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
-Proficiency with electronic medical records, preferably Epic.
-Strong organizational and time-management skills.
-Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care and continuity of care.
