Position Overview

A leading academic health system in Dallas, TX is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to serve as Core Faculty for an innovative Internal Medicine Health Equity Track.

This 100% outpatient role blends high-value, population-centered direct patient care with resident teaching, clinical precepting, and health equity research within a collaborative multidisciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities

Direct Patient Care: Provide evidence-based, value-based primary care to a diverse adult population using population health tools and risk stratification.

Resident Precepting: Serve as core faculty supervising Internal Medicine residents in an outpatient clinic setting.

Curriculum & Didactics: Lead real-time clinical teaching, journal clubs, lectures, and workshops focusing on social determinants of health (SDOH) and health equity.

Scholarly Mentorship: Guide residents through Quality Improvement (QI) methodology, research projects, and academic presentations.

Interdisciplinary Care: Work side-by-side with clinical care managers, pharmacists, social workers, and behavioral health specialists.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Successful completion of an ACGME- or AMA-accredited Internal Medicine Residency [REQUIRED]

Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine [REQUIRED]

Licensure: Active Texas Medical License (or eligible/in-process) [REQUIRED]

Academic Interest: Demonstrated passion for resident education and academic medicine [REQUIRED]

Experience: Background in health equity, population health, value-based care, or medical education [HIGHLY PREFERRED]

Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (No Visa candidates accepted) [REQUIRED]
