Job description

Start: Flexible
Length: Permanent, full-time
Coverage: Emergency department
Schedule: 12-hour physician shifts, 8:00–20:00 or 20:00–8:00; APP coverage during high-volume seasons
Volume: About 16,000 annual visits (about 43 per day); about 1.8 patients per hour; 56% pediatric; 3% admission rate; 2% transfer rate
Practice Setting: 115-bed acute care hospital, Level IV trauma center; 7 ED beds

• Emergency evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients of all ages
• Broad patient age mix with a high pediatric share
• Established emergency care team
• Documentation in MedHost

Requirements
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, or BC Family Medicine/Internal Medicine with ED experience
• Texas license (or eligible)
• ACLS and PALS required; ATLS required unless BC in Emergency Medicine
