Position: Locum Tenens Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine with OB)
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Board Certified or Board Eligible Primary Care Physician with Family Medicine and Obstetrics experience for a locum tenens assignment in Port Townsend, Washington. This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician seeking schedule flexibility while providing comprehensive care to patients of all ages.
The practice delivers full-spectrum outpatient primary care and women's health services while also supporting obstetrical care. Physicians become part of a collaborative clinical team that values quality care, teamwork, and continuity for the community.
This assignment begins September 2026 and continues through January 2027, with flexible block scheduling available.
Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services.
Evaluate and treat patients from infancy through adulthood.
Perform preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute illness treatment.
Provide comprehensive women's health services.
Deliver prenatal and obstetrical care.
Perform C-sections (preferred) and newborn admissions/rounding.
Participate in shared call rotation.
Document patient encounters using Epic EMR.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate medical records and comply with clinical quality standards.
Schedule & Working Hours
Assignment Dates: September 2026 – January 2027
Schedule: 3 days per week
Shift Length: 10-hour shifts
Clinic Hours: 8 patient-facing hours plus 2 hours administrative/charting time
Flexible scheduling options:
2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Alternating weeks
On-call:
Approximately one weekday call each week (24-hour call)
One weekend call rotation per month
Required Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Primary Care/Family Medicine
Active Washington medical license or willingness to obtain one
IMLC physicians encouraged to apply
Active DEA registration
Washington CSR (or ability to obtain)
Current ACLS certification
Current BLS certification
Current PALS certification
