Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant Assignment Details Location: Richmond, Virginia Provider Type: Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) Specialty: Neurosurgery Practice Setting: Inpatient / Hospital-Based Start Date: Mid-December 2026 Assignment Duration: Through at Least April 2027 Coverage Needed: 40 Hours Per Week Positions Needed: 1 Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave Coverage Compensation: Open rates Schedule Monday-Friday Hours: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM 40 Hours Per Week No Call Patient Population Adults and Geriatrics 100% Inpatient Patient Volume: Varies Clinical Responsibilities Provide Daily Post-Procedural Care for Neurosurgery Patients Perform Inpatient Patient Management and Follow-Up Communicate With Patients and Families Regarding Care and Treatment Provide Patient and Family Education Collaborate With the Neurosurgery Team Work Closely With an Employed Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner EMR Epic Requirements Board Certified – Required Active Virginia License in Hand – Required Candidates Needing to Obtain a Virginia License Will Not Be Accepted Active ACLS – Required Active BLS – Required Active DEA – Required Clean Background – Required No Malpractice or License Issues – Required Credentialing Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 Days Temporary Privileges Available
