Nurse Practitioner – Inpatient Cardiovascular Care
Location: near Bethesda, MD
Start Date: 5/18/2026
Contract Length: 4–6 months; potential extension

Schedule

Four 10‑hour shifts per week (7:00 AM–5:00 PM)
Weekend and holiday coverage required
Exact days of the week pending
No call
Full‑time schedule


Practice Details

Inpatient cardiovascular service
Adults‑only population
Patient volume: ~2–10 patients/day
Coverage required 4 days/week, including weekends and holidays
Support staff on service (hospital‑based CV team)
EMR: Cerner + Change Healthcare cardiology PACS
Routine CV inpatient workflow: pre‑procedure assessments, post‑procedure care, and follow‑up calls


Clinical Scope

Manage adult inpatient cardiovascular patients
Conduct consult workups and follow-up evaluations
Provide post‑procedure care and monitoring
Complete follow‑up phone calls with patients as required
Collaborate with cardiovascular team for care coordination
Document care and workflow in Cerner


Requirements

Nurse Practitioner — Board Certification required
Active state NP license required
DEA required
CSR required
AHA BLS and ACLS required
Minimum 1–2 years of inpatient experience (cardiology preferred)
PAs accepted only if holding a master’s degree (per facility rules)


Credentialing

Estimated 60–90 days
Provider must submit onboarding documents promptly to initiate privileging
