Cardiology Nurse Practitioner Needed in Oregon

Job description

Physician Assistant – Cardiology (Outpatient)
Target Start Date: March 1, 2026
Contract Length: 13‑week locum tenens assignment (potential for extension)

Schedule
Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only
Shift Structure:

Monday–Friday, 8‑hour day shifts

Two clinic locations:

3 days/week at one site (Tuesday–Thursday)

2 days/week at second site (Monday & Friday)

First appointment at 8:30 AM; last appointment at 4:00 PM

30‑minute appointment slots

Lunch: 12:00–1:00 PM (included in shift)

No call

Patient Volume: ~13 patients per day
EMR: Epic

Practice Details
Setting: Outpatient cardiology clinic (multi‑site float)
Patient Population: Adult cardiology patients
Support: Standard outpatient support staff
Clinical Scope Includes:

Cardiology follow‑ups and evaluations

Chronic disease management

Diagnostic review and treatment planning

Inbox/administrative time at end of day

Additional Notes:

Independent practice within outpatient cardiology

Consistent weekly schedule across two clinic locations

Ongoing assignment possible after initial 13‑week term

Requirements
Board Certification: Required

License: Active Oregon license required (not willing to license)

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, DEA

Experience: Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience (5 years preferred)

EMR Experience: Epic preferred

Credentialing Timeframe: ~30 days

Location
Portland, Oregon area — outpatient cardiology clinics within a multi‑site float structure
