Physician Assistant – Inpatient Cardiology
Location: Adjacent Suburban Area near Boston, MA
Start Date: 7/2026; flexible
Contract Length: 13 weeks; potential ongoing need

Schedule
Monday–Friday
4×10s — 8:00 to 18:30
Day shifts only
No call
Full‑time coverage required

Practice Details
Inpatient general cardiology consult service
New consults and follow‑up evaluations
Mix of patient care and care coordination
No procedures required
Adult patient population
Average census: 5–6 patients per day
EMR: Epic
Team structure: multiple physicians and PAs
Coverage needed due to maternity leave

Clinical Scope
Perform inpatient cardiology consults
Evaluate and manage adult cardiac patients
Coordinate care with hospitalist service and multidisciplinary teams
Interpret labs, imaging, and clinical findings relevant to cardiology
Document encounters within Epic before shift end
Support efficient patient flow and communication with care teams

Requirements
Physician Assistant — Cardiology background preferred
Active Massachusetts license required at submission
Board certification required
DEA required
BLS and ACLS required
Minimum 1 year inpatient experience
Epic experience preferred but not required
Strong ability to manage consult volume independently

Credentialing
Estimated 90‑day credentialing timeframe
