Cardiology PA (Inpatient) Needed in Newton, MA

Job description

**Newton, MA – Cardiology PA (Inpatient)**

**Assignment Details:**

* Start: July/August (maternity leave coverage beginning August 1)
* Schedule: Monday–Friday, 4x10s (8:00 AM – 6:30 PM)
* Setting: Inpatient hospital

**Work Details:**

* Specialty: General Cardiology (inpatient only)
* Role: New consults and follow-ups; no procedures
* Patient Population: Adults
* Average Daily Census: 5–6 patients
* Team Structure: 2–3 PAs working with 1 attending physician
* Support Staff: 10 MDs, 4 PAs
* Responsibilities include a mix of direct patient care and care coordination
* Consult service supports the hospitalist team (no dedicated cardiac unit)
* EMR: Epic

**Requirements:**

* Board Certification required
* Active Massachusetts license required (no licensing support)
* DEA required
* Minimum 1 year of experience

**Credentialing:**

* Estimated timeframe: 3–6 months (~180 days)

**Interview Process:**

* 1–2 phone interviews
* 2 references required (can be provided at submission or post-interview)

**Travel:**

* Travel, lodging, and rental car covered
