Qualifications
✓ Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
✓ Active New York State Physician Assistant License
✓ Board Certification required
✓ Minimum of 1 year of outpatient Cardiology Physician Assistant experience
✓ Proficiency in cardiovascular assessments and interpretation of EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors, and echocardiograms
✓ Experience managing hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmias
✓ Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
✓ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✓ Empathy and ability to work effectively with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals

Key Responsibilities
✓ Assess patients' health conditions and develop appropriate care plans
✓ Obtain and review patient histories and identify abnormal findings
✓ Perform cardiovascular assessments and routine clinical procedures
✓ Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medications as permitted by applicable regulations
✓ Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate records of treatments and medical events
✓ Interpret diagnostic studies, including EKGs, stress tests, Holter monitors, and echocardiograms
✓ Assist physicians and provide support during surgical and other medical procedures
✓ Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
✓ Provide therapeutic treatments, including wound care and suturing
✓ Respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
✓ Educate patients and promote a climate of trust, compassion, and respect
✓ Comply with medical care regulations, clinical guidelines, and safety standards
✓ Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals

Schedule
