New Locums Opportunity in Arizona - Interventional Cardiology - Willing to License!

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide ongoing coverage beginning September 14.

Position Details:
-Contract Length: Ongoing
-Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, with possible weekend rotation
-Rotating weekly between hospital and clinic
-30-minute unpaid lunch
-Overtime applies after scheduled shifts

Practice Setting:
-Hospital and clinic
-Cardiovascular Institute serving an adult population, primarily age 60+

Responsibilities:
-STEMI coverage
-Cardiology consults
-Hospital consults (approximately 8–14 per day)
-Transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), approximately 1–2 per day
-Clinic visits averaging 18–24 patients per day

Support:
-Medical Assistants
-Patient Care Technicians
-Nursing staff
-Physician Assistant support for inpatient care

Requirements:
-Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
-Minimum of 2 years of experience
-ACLS and BLS certifications required
-Arizona medical license, willing to license
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Additional Information:
-EMR: Cerner
-Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 30 days
