Facility in San Francisco, CA seeking Cardiology locums coverage Rates: $320/hr Opportunity Highlights Consistent Schedule: Work 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with no weekends or call responsibilities. Academic Environment: Join a teaching hospital with an interest in candidates who have teaching experience, as well as an interest in clinical research or healthcare disparities studies. Diverse Caseload: You will handle both inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms, including emergent and high-acuity cases, as well as routine care. The role involves reading a high volume of echos, with a typical day seeing 25-30 echos. EMR System: The facility uses Epic for all charting. Supportive Team: You'll have a team of echo techs to assist you, and an inpatient attending for cardiology and an interventional cardiologist are always available via phone. Quick Credentialing: The estimated credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days. Responsibilities Perform and interpret inpatient and outpatient echocardiograms (TEE and TTE). Manage a high volume of echos for an all-adult patient population. Provide cardiology services in a teaching hospital setting, with a strong emphasis on clinical excellence and patient safety. Provider Requirements Board Status: Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease. Licensure: An active California medical license is required. Certifications: BLS is required. Advanced Echocardiography Level III certification is preferred. DEA: A California DEA with Schedule 2 is required. Experience: Must have recent experience reading a high volume of echos. Teaching experience is strongly preferred. Experience working with diverse populations is also strongly preferred. New graduates will be considered. Start Date We are looking for coverage to start as soon as possible, ideally by November 3, 2025. We are seeking at least two weeks per month of coverage.
