Interventional Cardiologist Needed in Denver

Job description

• Amount of coverage needed per month: 5 to 8 shifts, prefer it not be in one block
• Patients per day: average of 2-4 cases per day
• Patient population/age: 18+
• Hospital bed size: 550
• Special procedures: right and left heart cath, coronary angiogram, coronary interventions, some arm work, a lot of lower extremity work, they also do chronic total inclusions and high risk PCI with impella support but may not ask locums to do that depending on skillset/experience. They do not do any veins.
• Skills required: in addition to the procedures they are really looking for someone with great communication skills that is comfortable working independently but can work very well in a collaborative environment (a great team player!). A warm personality is important to them as well as someone who vibes well with the nurses and support staff. They also have residents so someone who would be comfortable having a trainee with them is important too. Please note, this is not a super busy department, but their cases are very complex and require someone who can deal with stressful situations with grace, remain calm in the lab, communicate what they need, and collaborate well with the inpatient provider. They are looking for someone to come in and be part of the team.
