Interventional Cardiologist – Locums Opportunity | Denver, Colorado
Job description
A premier hospital in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist for a 6-month locum assignment starting in January 2026. This opportunity offers a mix of full-time or part-time options (minimum 1 week per month), with a collaborative and experienced team of nurses, techs, and APPs.
This position is ideal for an experienced Interventional Cardiologist who thrives in a team-oriented, high-acuity environment and is seeking a supportive, collegial setting to provide complex cardiac care.

Work Details
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (unpaid lunch between cases)
Call Rotation: Some nights and weekends; 25% call-back ratio
Nights: 5:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
Weekends: 5:00 p.m. Friday – 7:00 a.m. Monday
Cases per Day: 2–4 on average
Patient Population: Adults (18+)
Procedures:
Right & left heart cath
Coronary angiogram & interventions
Chronic total occlusions (CTO)
High-risk PCI with impella support (may vary by experience)
Extensive lower extremity work (no veins)
Support Staff: Nursing team, technologists, APPs
EMR: Epic
Requirements
Board Certification: Required (Interventional Cardiology)
Fellowship Training: Required (Interventional Cardiology)
Licensure: Active license required; IMLC accepted (CO license not accepted due to time constraints)
Certifications: BLS and ACLS required
DEA: Required
Experience: Minimum 5 years preferred due to complex patient population
Credentialing Timeframe: ~90 days
