Job description
Join a collaborative and high-performing cardiology team in beautiful Colorado. This facility is seeking a Board-Certified Interventional Cardiologist to provide coverage starting January 26, 2026, for an initial 6-month contract (with option to extend).
Assignment Details:
Start Date: January 26, 2026
Contract Length: 6 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00a–5:30p (unpaid lunch between cases)
Call: Some nights and weekends (to be discussed during interview)
Night Call: 5p–7a, ~25% call-back ratio
Weekend Call: Friday 5p–Monday 7a, ~25% call-back ratio
Coverage Need: Full-time preferred; client will consider providers available a minimum of 1 week per month
Clinical Details:
Setting: Hospital-based Cardiology Department
Average Cases: 2–4 cases per day
Patient Population: Adult (18+)
Support Staff: Skilled nursing team, techs, and APP support
Procedures & Skills:
Right and left heart cath
Coronary angiogram and interventions
Extensive lower extremity work and some arm procedures
May include chronic total occlusions and high-risk PCI with Impella (depending on skillset)
No vein work performed
This is a complex but collegial environment—ideal for someone who thrives in high-acuity settings while maintaining composure and teamwork. The team values providers who communicate effectively, collaborate seamlessly with nurses and inpatient providers, and foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere. Comfort working with residents or trainees is a plus.
Requirements:
Board Certification: Required (Interventional Cardiology)
Fellowship: Required in Interventional Cardiology
State License: Active state license required; IMLC considered (full CO licensing not preferred due to processing time)
